An electric motorcycle built from scratch by a team of 20 students at JSSATE-B.
I was the Vice Head & led the Electrical and Electronics Team of 10 students, in my 2nd year of ECE Engineering.
Project Overview
The drivetrain of the vehicle was designed by me, while critical drivetrain components like the motor and batteries were co-designed by industry partners, design specifications and integration by me.
Motor: 2KW ELECNOVO PMSM motor with 92% peak efficiency.
Controller: Imported high-efficiency programmable MCU from Accelerated Systems Inc (ASI).
Battery: 30Ah 72V Lithium-Ion battery from Vivitron Energy with smart BMS.
Dashboard: AI-enabled touchscreen, powered by a RAXDA SBC. Machine learning based fault detection.
Cooling: Custom engineered part-peltier motor cooling with MIT designed compact toroidal fans.
Chassis: High-Tensile HSLA (IS 2062 E350) stainless steel with a double cradle structure.
Suspension: Long travel USD dual-shock front, mono-shock rear.
Brakes: Bybre dual-front and rear disk brakes.
